Microsoft 365 sign-in with KIDUART

For schools running Microsoft 365, staff and students can sign in to KIDUART with their existing Microsoft account. Same principle as Google sign-in: identity comes from the account your IT team already manages, while permissions stay with the KIDUART role.

What you get

  • Microsoft school accounts work as the login
  • No parallel password list for staff
  • Identity managed centrally by your IT team
  • Tenant-level MFA policies apply at sign-in
  • Runs alongside email and password login

The connection, hop by hop

How Microsoft 365 sign-in actually works here

No hand-waving about being 'seamlessly integrated'. This is the path a single event takes, end to end.

  1. User picks Microsoft sign-in

Staff choose Microsoft at the login screen and are sent to your tenant.

  2. Your tenant authenticates

Your Microsoft policies, including MFA, apply before anything is returned to KIDUART.

  3. Matched to a KIDUART user

The verified account is matched to an existing user record; sign-in alone does not grant access.

  4. Role decides what opens

Panels, modules and data visibility come from the KIDUART role, not from Microsoft.

Keys, data and the bill

Who holds the credentials

Your Microsoft tenant and admin consent. Passwords and MFA stay with Microsoft.

Where the data sits

KIDUART stores the verified account identifier and its link to the user record.

Who gets billed

No extra cost beyond your existing Microsoft 365 licensing.

Where it lands in the product

The modules this integration writes into

An integration is only useful if it writes into the module your staff already work in. These are the exact modules involved.

Questions schools ask

Microsoft 365 sign-in, answered plainly

Can we use Microsoft sign-in only for staff?

Yes. You choose which roles may use it. Many schools enable it for staff and keep student logins simple.

Does multi-factor still apply?

If your Microsoft tenant enforces MFA, that applies at sign-in. KIDUART's own authenticator-app MFA can also be required for sensitive roles.
